Who We Are

We are a group of passionnionate Entrepreneurial students in NUIG.

Comprised primarily of business and engineering students we are one of the most pro-active and biggest societies on campus. We are also one of the newest and youngest but have quickly grown to over 1,000 members.

Sales School

Learn basic to advanced sales tactics and techniques.

This school focused on how to sell, pursuassion tactics and the psychology of selling successfully. Free for all to attend, it ran on Monday evenings in the Bank of Ireland StartUp Workbench in Galway city center. Paul Behan, an experienced salesman and marketer brought the students through four separate modules teaching lead generation, public speaking, SMART Goal setting and persistence.

Start-Up School

Bring your idea to life with expert advice from business leaders.
Running over the course of 5 weeks, this event will take you through the steps of starting up your own small company.

The first week will focus on bringing your idea to life, and will feature mentors Paul Killoran, CEO of Ex Ordo, Gill Carroll, CEO of 37 west and Michael Campion, Lecturer and Director of "Innovation, Creativity & Enterprise"(ICE).

Stock School

Learn the fundamentals of trading and investing.
Stock School runs every second week on campus and is a 10 Week course which runs throughout the entire academic year.

It brings students from no trading knowledge through the foundations of stocks, bonds, commodities and derivities amoung other financial vehicles. Stock Runs a competition for its students with virtual money on real markets, with a €1000 prize for the student who grows their initial $100,000 amount the most over the year. This gives students the opportunity to apply their knoweldge straight away and learn by doing, as well as in lectures.

Marketing Academy

FREE Marketing Course run by NUIG Entrepreneur Society
Marketing is one of the most important skills to have in today’s Digital Era.

Over six weeks various speakers and mentors will talk to NUIG students about different aspects of marketing. Their wealth of knowledge can kick-start your path to Marketing Mastery.

Outsider Events

Because Entrepreneurship isn't limited to just campus

Our members are highly proactive, we attend (and this year win) StartUp Weekends. We volunteer at event and conferences and get invited to loads more. These can range from the Web Summit, StartUp Gathering Week, Student Summit, Venture West, etc etc.

International Mystery Tour

In year one our members took to Riga, Latvia. This year we took flight again to Berlin, Germany.

Student Enterprise Awards

The SEA is a campus-wide competition open to all sutdents, undergrad and postgrad regardless of discipline. The awards include €3,000 of investment and incubation office space.

BlackStone Launchpad

Blackstone LaunchPad is a campus based entrepreneurship program, accessible by over 500K students globally, designed to support and mentor students, staff and alumni - regardless of major, experience or discipline.

BOI Workbench

We try to bridge the gap between the Galway Startup scene and student startups on campus. The center of all start up activity in Galway is the Workbench. We host events here, have breakfast meetings here and attend talks hosted by BOI at the Workbench and Founder Fridays.
